Search Engine Optimisation and Social Marketing

Search Engine Optimisation and Social Marketing

Ok, you've created an amazing brand/website/video, what's next?

Well simply putting your site live and hoping the right people will visit is just bad business. Now it's time to market your online presence to the right audience. You will have probably heard of SEO (search engine optimisation) but do you know what it involves? Well SEO is basically optimising your web presence to the world, and specifically your target audience. SEO can be achieved in a number of ways, each online business is optimised differently, the key is to cater the right tools to work for you. This might be social media, blog posts, Google Adwords, onsite optimisation, link building…… the list goes on.

Whats best your your business

What's best for your business?

Well thats quite and open ended question.
Our team build everything from the ground up, to ensure that Facebook, YouTube, Google and other search engines pay attention to what you have to shout about. Now SEO is big business, and is an area that needs a lot of attention as the internet is evolving all the time, one thing that got you to page one on Google one day might not keep you there the following month. That's why we work in partnership with an SEO company that can keep on top of the fast evolving world of internet search engine optimisation.

The Internet is becoming a large market place

The Internet is becoming a large market place.

In the past SEO could be done largely by having a SEF (Search Engine Friendly) website.
Today the internet is a much larger market place, so it's vital to have a good marketing campaign, and this will be ongoing. If your search engine optimisation isn't regularly updated and checked you will fall down the rankings and essentially lose business! We create powerful marketing campaigns that are tailored to your business, that doesn't mean that once we have handed over your website/video that it will be on page one of Google as soon as we hit the "live button". We can look after your SEO for you to make sure you do stay at the top, and there are ways that you can help with the optimisation, such as Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Don't preach what you don't practice

Don't preach what you don't practice.

We are on page 1 in Google for the term "video production sheffield" And we have had to work at that over the years as more and more production companies have come onto the scene. You know yourself that if you search for something in Google you probably wont go past the second page to find what you're looking for, so it's vital to get as close to the top as possible.

Google PPC (Pay Per Click)

Pay Per Click can work brilliantly for some businesses and not so good for others.
For those of you that don't know what PPC is, basically you have a pot of money you put aside for PPC, lets say £100, now if you have to pay Google £1 to be at the top of the search results for a specific key word or phrase, and the person searching for that clicks on your link £1 will be deducted from you initial £100. So you would only reach 100 potential customers before your money ran out. Great if you have a specific product or service you really want to push or if you want fast results, not so great if you constantly have to keep paying Google to be at the top of the search result. The bad thing is as soon as your money runs out, you fall back down the results.

Google has some great tools to show just how many people and search for certain thing, when they're searching, where in the world they are etc etc. When managed by professionals you can target the right people at the right time in the right location, if not managed by professionals you will be wasting your money. Some businesses find PPC to be the best marketing tool around.

Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing

Nearly everyone is doing some kind of social networking these days, whether it's Facebook, Twitter, Bebo, Myspace, LinkedIn, the list goes on. There are many ways to effectively market your business through these social networks, but creating a business page on Facebook and then spamming all your friends with stuff they don't want or care about isn't the way to go about it. Social Media Marketing can prove to be incredibly cost effective and spread and spread your name far and wide when approached correctly. This however doesn't mean you can apply social marketing to any business, the whole idea of social networking is being social. The content needs to be engaging and get to people talking. Sharing concepts or giving away something for free to promote a product or service is a great way to spread your message, but if you have nothing to share or give away there is still hope, Social Media Advertising!

Social Media Advertising

Social Media Advertising

When you set up a Facebook account you fill in your details where you live, where you went to school, occupation, and so on. Other information you give away (maybe without even knowing about it) is the things you share with your friends. For example if you were talking to your friends about organising a wedding and you had changed your status to engaged, Facebook would then know your will probably be planning a wedding soon enough. That means if you're a dress maker in the Sheffield area and want to attract brides to be to view your site you can specifically target them.
