- In a recent video posted by the Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, it was confirmed that Instagram will not be focusing on long-form video content any time soon. This is because it undermines the core identity of Instagram and its purpose; to connect people with friends and help them to explore their interests.
- In an attempt to entice more X Premium subscriptions, X is considering providing free trials for Premium subscriptions.
- TikTok has now introduced a feature that allows desktop users on the platform to sort through an account’s videos by popularity.
- YouTube’s version of Instagram’s ‘Add Yours’ sticker is now being tested for Shorts. It will function the same way as Instagram’s version and will allow creators to enhance engagement and encourage original content through the prompt of a challenge or question.
- Facebook is looking to provide a clutter-free viewing experience for Reels– much like on TikTok. This feature is currently in testing and would allow users to remove the description text and user-interface buttons from the screen for an improved viewing experience.
- LinkedIn has introduced sponsored newsletters for company pages. It is a feature where businesses can sell their newsletters through paid media focusing on their unique target audience to push subscriptions.
- Instagram is testing a new Collaboration option for its Professional Dashboard. This feature will allow users to put an ‘open to collaborating’ status on their profile and DMs. This will help brands and creators who are looking to connect to do so more easily as it simplifies finding and establishing partnerships.
- LinkedIn is currently looking to expand access to its automated ‘accelerate’ campaigns so that are available to all brands. These campaigns utilise AI technology to automate the creation process for the campaign.
- Meta is testing AI comment summaries on Facebook which provide users with an overview of what people are saying in the comments without having to read through them all. YouTube is also testing the same feature.
- TikTok has recently announced that they are in a new partnership with Eventbrite, an events platform that will allow creators and users to promote their events on TikTok as well as sell tickets directly to the TikTok community.
